Dr. Natalie Trujillo (who also goes by “Dr. Tru”) is a Family Medicine Physician who will be working with Sheridan Medical Group temporarily. Her clinical interests include disease prevention, health promotion, global health, medical missions and ICU. Dr. Tru went to medical school at the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten and completed her residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California. During her residency, she also moonlighted at an Urgent Care facility.
Dr. Tru is currently serving in the US Army Reserves and has prior active duty in the US Army. She is married to a fellow soldier and physician. She has two boys: one of them is a four-legged furry pup. Dr. Tru loves hiking and running in the outdoors and enjoys traveling. Some of her highlight trips include Iceland, Morocco, South Korea, China, Honduras and Costa Rica.
Dr. Tru feels that the patient-physician relationship is unique in the Family Medicine setting as, for many, this is the initial entry into the healthcare system. The goal is to work together to reach a common goal with the emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion. Dr. Tru lives her life by The Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
