Winter is peak season for colds and flu, but a few small habits can help protect your health and keep your immune system strong.

2. Prioritize Sleep

Rest helps your body fight off infection. Most adults need 7–9 hours per night.

3. Stay Hydrated

Dry indoor air can dehydrate you. Drink water throughout the day to support your immune system.

4. Add Immune‑Supporting Foods

Try citrus, berries, leafy greens, yogurt, and lean proteins. Frozen produce is just as nutritious and often cheaper.

5. Keep High‑Touch Areas Clean

Wipe down door handles, phones, and remotes regularly—especially if someone in your home is sick.

6. Stay Home When You’re Sick

Resting helps you recover faster and prevents spreading germs to others.
